I've been noticing a trend lately that's starting to bother me more and more each time I see it. I log into Facebook a few times a day to check messages and post an occasional status update. As I scroll down the page full of my "friend's" statuses I expect to read a short explanation about what they're currently doing, what they did, or what they're going to do. I enjoy keeping up with what my "friends" are doing, some of it actually interests me. The thing that bothers me is when I'm going along reading the status updates of people and I see people posting "inspirational" quotes or life lessons in their updates. I mean, what gives them the right to give everyone else advice? Who do they think they are? Don't get me wrong, some of it I can understand, but when I know the people that are posting these things shouldn't be dishing out life lessons, it aggravates and annoys me. I'm not saying that everyone who posts these sort of "updates" bother me, but the majority of YOU do. So, if you're a "less-than-wise" person who googles quotes just to sound enlightened, please STOP it. We all know you don't know what you're talking about and nobody logs on to Facebook expecting their daily dose of life lessons and inspirational quotes.
